Azure Cloud shell in Teams Admin Center

MC289245 – This new feature will enable you to open Azure Cloud Shell inline and run PowerShell scripts from within Teams admin center. The Azure Cloud Shell is an interactive, authenticated, browser-accessible shell for managing admin center resources.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 82708.

When this will happen:

Microsoft will begin rolling this out to Teams Admin Center in mid-October and expect to complete rollout by end October.

How this will affect your organization:

You’ll be able to activate the Cloud shell by logging into Teams admin center, clicking on the Cloud Shell icon from the header and benefit from features like;

  • Browser based shell experience
  • Authenticated and configured Azure workstation
  • Encryption at rest
